Responsibilities:
Manages the assigned dining location/venue or assigned time of operation with the following responsibilities:

• Interviews, hires, evaluates, disciplines and terminates employees
• In conjunction with the Director of Dining Services implements reservation process for residents and guests in the dining room or at catered functions
• Supervises completion of side work assignments
• Schedules and sections assignments for staff
• Check control
• Assists with controlling and inventorying all china, glass, silver and linen to maintain appropriate par levels
• Prepares daily dining room paperwork (i.e., meal count summary, etc.)
• Works with Director to provide on-going staff training for quality assurance in service
• Supervises liquor service, if any.
• Trains and orientates new food servers to CRbH standards.
• Assists the Director with preparing and monitoring the dining room budget.
• Controls and inventories all Dining Room equipment such as china, glass, silver, and linen to maintain appropriate par levels.
• Performs daily food and beverage audit to insure the dining areas and staff meet or exceed all CRbH standards for excellence in service, staff grooming, resident satisfaction, health, sanitation and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High school graduate required. College degree in related field is preferred, (Hotel/Restaurant Management or Business).
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in quality Food & Beverage operations management in a high quality restaurant, hotel, country club or senior living company with demonstrated knowledge of all current service styles and techniques and working knowledge of budgets and reporting.

Licensure / Certification: Possess or be willing to obtain Food Handlers certification, as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assists the Director of Housekeeping in overseeing cleaning activities in interior spaces including lobby, meeting/activity rooms, library, dining room, corridors, elevators, trash rooms and any other interior public areas.
• Assists the Director of Housekeeping with interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, supervising, evaluating, disciplining and terminating Housekeeping staff.
• Recommends a schedule to maintain appearance of public spaces including lobbies, corridors, offices, elevator cabs and activity rooms.
• Works with the Director in establishing and maintaining a cleaning schedule for cleaning of resident apartments, which accommodate residents' needs while allowing for optimum productivity of staff.
• Assists the Director in managing workload and work processing in the Laundry department to provide for a safe and efficient working environment for staff, with appropriate use of time and resources.
• Assists the Director in establishing department policies and practices that reflect high standards of performance, which include personal development, staff development, departmental organization and work processing.
• Performs general housekeeping duties.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Associate Degree preferred or equivalent years of experience in the field.
• Minimum 3-5 years housekeeping/laundry experience in Hospitality, Healthcare, Environmental Services or Senior Living Environment with supervisory experience preferred.
• Licensure / Certification: Member of International Executive Housekeepers Association, Inc. (I.E.H.A.). Certified Executive Housekeeper (C.E.H.), desired. Must possess a valid driver's license, where applicable.

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Conference Services Manager.

Scope and Range

The Conference Service Manager will act as the primary contact person between the customers and the operational departments for the hotel prior to and during the event in order to satisfy our customers. This position is responsible for the co-ordination of reservations and arrangement of accommodations, functions and food and beverage requirements for conference and meeting groups. Additionally, this position will upsell all facilities, where appropriate, in order to achieve a higher yield.

Duties and Responsibilities

• The CSM takes over from the sales manager and becomes the primary contact between the client and all operational departments once the business is confirmed.
• Works closely with all sales personnel in handling requests and operational enquiries.
• Provides customers with prompt service and acts as their consultant in assisting in their event organization in order to fulfill their needs within our operational capabilities.
• Chairs and conducts pre-conference operational meetings with relevant departments and customers as appropriate.
• Executes Banquet Event Orders and Group Resumes accurately with detailed information.
• Remains updated on catering menus, set-ups, services, capabilities and product knowledge within the hotel as well specified hotel competitive set.
• Contributes toward the preparation of group sales production and reconciliation reports weekly and monthly.
• Attends and participates in sales and business development meetings.
• Ensures all accounts and contract profiles are properly maintained in Delphi Sales and Catering and activities are traced and followed up in a timely manner.
• Focuses on forward selling and maximization of available space.
• Meets all clients in person while on site and maintains a relationship with the client while the meeting is on site.
• Conducts hotel site visits and entertains customers.
• Understands food and beverage minimums and is comfortable with the negotiation process.
• Performs any reasonable duties as required by the department head.

Requirements

• Prefer two years experience in a Conference Service's Manager capacity (luxury hotel background desirable)
• Flexibility to work on weekends, early shifts etc. as required to service the customer
• Working knowledge of Delphi is desirable
