•	Assume a leadership role in the kitchen in organizing and directing the production staff for residence and catered events. <br>
•	Prepare assigned menu items for both standard cafeteria service and catering. <br>

•	Participate in on-going customer service programs which will include “just-in-time” cooking, demonstration cooking, and interaction with customers. <br>

Job Description<br>
1. Responsible for instituting computer operations to post room and tax and end of day reports.<br>
2. Prepare all Daily Accounting Reports including:<br>
a. Daily flash report including month to date figures in rooms sold, rooms occupied, occupancy percentage, net room revenue, average daily rate of rooms sold, average daily rate of rooms occupied, and completion of the daily and month to date marketing mix.<br>
b. Print all computer generated reports.<br>
3. Complete accounting operations including:<br>
a. Balancing all accounts in the transactional detail report.<br>
b. Reconciling the Guest ledger, the City Ledger, the Advance Deposits, and the Flash Report with the Computer Report.<br>
c. Ensure all postings are correct and correct all errors.<br>
d. Verify and completely prepare allowance vouchers for every adjustment.<br>
e. Check all registration cards in the bucket for credit card imprints, address, and signature.<br>
f. Ensure that all tax exempt accounts follow the guidelines. They must be paid directly by a governmental agency either by a government credit card, direct billing, or advance deposit. Exemption certificates should be completed for non profit organizations such as Asia Foundation.<br>
g. Ensure that there are no due back vouchers older than one (1) day except on weekends.<br>
4. Print Computer Reports and lists for start of day operations including:<br>
a. Arrival lists.<br>
b. Alphabetical telephone lists.<br>
c. Special request lists.<br>
d. Room discrepancy reports.<br>
e. Departure report.<br>
f. Daily work sheets.<br>
5. Print incoming registration cards.<br>

This position requires availability on evenings and weekends as needed to support patron services activities, special events, and rentals. The position reports directly to the Director of Marketing and Communications and is open immediately.<br>

Responsibilities include:<br>

Develop and implement effective procedures, systems, and strategies to ensure efficient front of house (FOH) operations and consistently unique and superior patron services. <br>
•	Manage FOH budget<br>
o	Reconcile concessions and gift shop income weekly.<br>
o	Track and analyze concessions and gift shop income and expenses against annual goals.<br>
o	Process vendor invoices.<br>
•	Schedule, supervise, and motivate FOH staff (F/T house manager, P/T assistant house manager(s), substitute house managers, and concessionaires).<br>
•	Develop, manage, and oversee a diverse, high-quality volunteer usher program, including recruitment, training, and scheduling.<br>
•	Purchase, stock, and track inventory to maximize concessions and gift shop revenue.<br>
o	Collaborate with art and marketing director to design logo merchandise to reinforce brand, and create merchandise displays.<br>
•	Coordinate opening night events<br>
o	Manage all pre-event activities including event development, donation solicitations, menu creation, space reservation, and vendor management.<br>
o	Coordinate on-site logistics including day-of scheduling, set-up, and clean-up.<br>
o	Determine pre-event and day-of staffing, and oversee support staff. <br>
•	Observe and supervise FOH pre-show operations; assume leadership role in emergency situations.<br>
•	Serve as primary liaison between Theatre and its 180,000 annually-served patrons; diplomatically resolve patron issues; advocate for Berkeley Rep at community events and corporate mixers<br>
•	Other duties as assigned.<br>

Qualified candidates will demonstrate:<br>

•	Experience with sales management, especially in food service and retail venues<br>
•	Enthusiasm for developing, achieving and then exceeding goals<br>

Primary Purpose of Role <br>
Under the direction of the Hospitality Operations Manager, Retail Sales Manager and C360 Wine Club Manager, this position is responsible in assisting for the day to day coordination of the Cellar360 Wine Club, in providing excellent customer service and a smooth, professional processing of wine orders and information to Cellar360 wine club members at the site.<br>

-Customer Relations: Engage in consumer relations with Club members, VIP and walk-in guests in the Reserve Room and in other private tasting areas of the site.  Duties will include selling and reconciling cash with sales receipts at end of day.  Conduct VIP tastings for repeat customers in private tasting rooms.  Develop Club Member retention strategies for the site staff to implement.  (Typically 2-3 days per week)<br>
-Manage Wine Club: Assist in managing all C360 wine club operations including selecting the wines for quarterly shipments, ordering Club sampler packs for will call members, managing the will-call manifest, managing wine club inventory and allocations.  Assist in producing Wine Club newsletters, mailings, email marketing campaigns and in coordinating production, printing and fulfilment of the mailings (typically 1-2 days per week)<br>
-Customer Service: Assist in managing communication with Wine Club members, VIP guests in answering all customer service inquiries and complaints, including shipping and wine quality questions, via phone, email and fax.  Act as a liaison at the site for the Wine Club Manager and the Call Center representatives to ensure an open line of communication and solidarity between both departments.<br>
-Data Collection: Design and execute database collection of mailing list at the site.  In coordination with Managers at the site and the Wine Club Manager, develop staff incentives for wine club sign-ups.<br>

We are looking for a hard working and reliable individual to assist us in a warehouse commercial kitchen (bake only, no meat/seafood products).  We are only in production on Sundays.  The primary role is to package our finished product into packages that are retail store ready.<br>
<br>
Job Description:<br>
1.	Use a digital scale to measure out ingredients accurately for production.<br>
2.	Use a digital scale to measure out finished product for final packaging.  <br>
3.	Use a heater sealer to seal the final packages.<br>
4.	Mark or tag expiration dates on packages in order to be ready to be sold at retail stores.<br>
5.	Prepare raw ingredients in order to make/bake our products.<br>
6.	Perform light dish wash and clean up.<br>
7.	Help with mixing ingredients and baking.<br>
<br>
Skills:<br>
1.     Be able to stand on your feet for 5 to 8 hours.<br>
2.	Kitchen experience is a plus.<br>
3.     Be knowledgeable in food sanitation laws<br>
4.     Take direction well.<br>
5.     Having food handlers certificate is preferred.<br>
6.     Work in a timely fashion.<br>
7.     Must be able to lift 25 lbs.<br>

<description><![CDATA[HI-San Francisco City Center, operated by the Golden Gate Council of Hostelling International USA, is seeking a seasonal part-time Front Desk Associate / Breakfast Server. A nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting intercultural exchange, environmental stewardship, and world peace through hostelling, the Council operates a network of eight hostels around Northern California, and also provides outdoor and intercultural educational programs for youth.<br>
<br>
HI-San Francisco City Center is a 222- to 272-bed hostel (depending upon the season) near the Civic Center in San Francisco. Our hostel is located in a beautiful 1920s hotel building, and features small dormitories, en suite bathrooms, charming common spaces, a fully equipped kitchen, and continental breakfast. We maintain a warm and welcoming boutique hostel with a high level of service and many little touches to make our guests feel special. HI-San Francisco City Center has received numerous awards for customer satisfaction and quality standards.<br>
<br>
The main priority of all employees is the safety and comfort of our guests. The Front Desk Associate / Breakfast Server position is a hybrid between reception and food service, however both aspects of the position focus on ensuring excellent customer service to our guests. This position is responsible for providing a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring guest and public contact runs smoothly and efficiently.<br>

RESPONSIBILITIES<br>
    * Act as a representative of HI-USA and its goals in a positive and professional manner.<br>
    * Make guests feel welcome and provide friendly and excellent service.<br>
    * Deal with difficult situations calmly and professionally.<br>
    * Follow procedures in response to emergencies and act quickly to resolve time-sensitive issues.<br>
    * Maintain security and safety in the building, and enforce hostel policies.<br>
    * Accurate registration of guests in property management system.<br>
    * Process reservation requests, cancellations, and changes (via phone, internet, or email).<br>
    * Maintain appearance at reception and breakfast area: organize work area, keep common areas clean and clear, stock supplies.<br>
    * Work in conjunction with Activities Coordinator and management staff to promote and facilitate all hostel events.<br>
    * Handle money accurately.<br>
    * Maintain a full and attractive display of food, coffee, etc. during breakfast hours.<br>
    * Order food service products weekly.<br>
    * Light cleaning, washing dishes, wiping down tables, sweeping, etc.<br>
    * This position requires the physical ability to perform any task associated with the operation of the hostel.<br>

<description><![CDATA[Purpose:	<br>
This position is responsible to plan, organize and prepare nutritious meals for the Early Childhood Education and School Age Child Development Programs. This position is accountable to staff, agency, and regulatory procedures.  <br>
<br>
Essential Functions:	<br>
Employee must be able to lift and move items of up to 25 lbs., walk up and down stairs, stand for long periods of time, bend, and sit. The qualified candidate must also pass background and health examination clearances.<br>
<br>
Key <br>
Responsibilities:	The major responsibilities are:<br>
•	Plan monthly menu including adhering to any special dietary needs of children.<br>
•	Conduct food shopping weekly or when needed; retain and organize receipts.<br>
•	Prepare breakfast, lunch and snacks daily for children ages 6 weeks through age 14 and distribute to childcare rooms. Daily clean-up of kitchen and appliances.<br>
•	Maintain reimbursable meal records reflecting food items and quantities prepared for each age group. Verify child nutrition labels or product specifications are in full compliance with CACFP standards.<br>
•	Work with the Business Office to ensure successful operations of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) including compliance, food production, working with the State Food Auditor, attending required workshops and training as required for the Federal Food Program guidelines, and ensuring proper food safety practices are maintained throughout agency.<br>
•	Assist staff in planning and implementing seasonal potluck and special events.<br>
•	Actively participate in staff training and professional development activities.<br>
•	Participate in program-level and bi-annual agency staff meetings.<br>
•	Alert School Age Childcare Program Director or Early Childhood Education Manager to make appropriate referrals for youth when there are indications of special need or crisis.<br>
o	Inform and consult with the manger/director if a special need or crisis arises, regarding communication with parents, and referrals.<br>
o	Assure follow up, as appropriate.<br>
o	Carry at all times, an updated checklist of children at the Center for emergency situations.<br>
o	Adhere to Mandated Reporter policies and procedures, as outlined in NYC Employee Handbook.<br>
•	Complete any related tasks assigned by Program Director, Associate Director or Executive Director.<br>
<br>
Minimum Qualifications:	<br>
•	At least 2 years experience cooking and meal planning for large groups of children or like setting.<br>
•	Obtain a First Aid Card within 6 weeks of date of hire and renew annually.<br>
•	Demonstrated organizational skills.<br>
•	Available to work 7am to 3pm Monday through Friday.  <br>
•	Enjoys working with and nurturing children from diverse cultural, socio-economic and linguistic backgrounds.<br>
•	Enjoys cooking, nutritious meal planning with an emphasis on fresh produce at all times, occasionally helping staff with cooking projects, saving cooking waste for garden composting.<br>
•	Able to perform basic mathematic calculations and conversions for the Food Program.<br>
•	Possesses good communication skills to work with different classroom staff on daily basis.]]></description>

We are currently seeking a part-time food worker to work Mondays and Tuesdays as well as a food prep shift for part of either Thursday or Friday.
