Title: Secuirty Officer
Department: All
Location: Gilroy
Reports to: Branch Manager

Job Summary: Security Officers are to maintain safety of all client sites. They are responsible for patroling client properties, writing daily activity and incident reports, noticing vandelizm and any unusual activities on site.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Those basic duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned. Here is the minimum list:

1. Interview/hire qualified applicants to fill open posts. Create, modify and manage schedules to ensure adequate coverage at all times. Ensure schedules are updated in company's system real-time. Ensure all patrols are done according to contract.
2. Receive daily patrol reports from assigned sites, and update system schedules as verified. Maintain accurate records to reduce billing errors. Resolve discrepancies in a timely and accurate manner. Process requests for final pay or special checks.
3. Maintain contact with patrol officers to ensure all personnel are trained and ready for placement. Maintain high employee morale and low turnover with proactive communication and timely problem resolution. Enforce post orders and company policies.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and experience required. Reasonable accommodation may be made to disabled people.

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. Prior security industry experience preferred. College education desirable. Minimum 3-5 years of professional-level experience required. Experience in position desirable.
• Must maintain valid California BSIS license(s), pass background checks, maintain California driver's license, and pass all safety tests. Must write effective and concise reports, investigation documents, and counseling. Use office technology.
• Demonstrated ability to be customer service oriented, with the ability to interact with all levels of individuals in a courteous manner, and resolve situations before they escalate. Energetic and focused, takes initiative, meets deadlines, good judgment.

Physical/Mental Requirements:

• Must be able to walk, stand, reach with both arms, sit, see, hear and may drive a vehicle. Occassionally may require running, climbing ladders, or lifting up to 25 pounds. Must able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing using English.
• Must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound reasoning and judgement, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities. Must be able to focus and multi-taks in busy environment, with ability to stay calm under stress.
