We are a natural foods company in Sebastopol that is looking for a Shipping Lead to assist our Shipping Manager with all areas of the shipping department.

Responsibilities include: Outbound and inbound freight scheduling, picking and shipping of sales orders, maintaining accurate inventory and lot control of all open stock within the warehouse. Responsible for ensuring compliance to GMPs as they relate to the shipping department.

Duties
1. Receives, picks, and processes sales orders in a timely manner assisting Department Manager with daily sales order priorities.
2. Accurate inventory control of open stock; assists with cycle counts.
3. Communicates daily with sales and operations support staff.
4. Assists with coordination of daily freight pick-ups/scheduling.
5. Assists receiving personnel as necessary.
6. Works with Sales department in establishment of shipping procedures for new and specific vendor requirements.
7. Ability to review and communicate freight payments with accounting department.
8. Review and processing of freight claims.
9. Prepares blend shipments for company Canadian co-packer including preparation of customs-broker documents.
10. Abides by and supports company policies, Safety, and GMP procedures.
11. Knowledge of computer MRP- MFG / Distribution software, UPS station software.
12. Performs department pick audits, troubleshoots & remedies related inventory order discrepancies.
13. Coordinates processing of RMA's.
14. Assists Manager with departmental planning and organization.
15. Performs any and all other assigned tasks

Minimum Qualifications:

5 or more years of related distribution experience
High school diploma; College degree preferred (APICS a plus)
Excellent communication & writing skills (Bi-lingual a plus)
Computer literate / MRP / Windows XP
Must be detailed oriented and accurate with numbers
Must be a team player and adaptable to a fast changing work environment
Experienced in various fork lift operation

Physical Requirements of Job:

1. Ability to sit, stand, and walk two or more hours at the time
2. Ability to lift upwards up to 10 lbs throughout the day
3. Ability to follow diagrams and instructions correctly
4. Ability to work in a warehouse environment
