SUMMARY:
Knowledge of the basic tube types, their basic internal fittings and basic fitting procedures. Works on assignments that require some supervision. The assignments can vary from basic to complex.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Install basic fastener hardware by using basic hardware and tools.
2. Prepare assorted tubes for rework process which includes removing all fittings hardware (fastening hardware, fittings, etc.).
3. Install a variety of external tube parts on tubes and prepare tubes for next process.
4. Grit blasting.
5. Application of formed lead.
6. Pouring of molten lead into forms and the removal of lead by melting.
7. Preparing tubes for painting, including taping off areas to be free of paint, primer application and final coat application.
8. Proper placement of labels, including serial number, tube type, warning labels, etc.
9. Complete basic work assignments with some supervision.
10. Keep work area clean, neat and organized.
11. Maintain safe work habits and environment.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
13. Follow all security and safety instructions. Including the proper use of personal protective equipment.

TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to lift 35 lbs. with no restrictions. Able to understand complex drawings, written and verbal instructions from supervisor or lead person. Identify basic hand tools and their usage. Have good manual dexterity. Understand basic math concepts. Able to work in team orientated production environment. Identify fastener devices and description of their usage.
