A dynamic, fast-paced and growing Bay Area screen-printing apparel manufacturer is seeking experienced screen print operators. This position is responsible for performing hands-on technical screen set-ups and assisting in the actual manufacturing and quality control of the company’s apparel line. SCREEN-PRINT MACHINE OPERATOR

JOB OBJECTIVES:
This position is responsible for operating automatic screen-printing machines (M&R Challenger & Sportsman). Perform hands-on technical screen set-ups, and assisting in the actual manufacturing and quality control of the company’s apparel line through the complete manufacturing process.

JOB DUTIES:
•Review work order and spec sheet to confirm accuracy and print quality.
•Participate in, and provide leadership for, the Department’s production assistants to ensure that they are performing tasks in an efficient and productive manner.
•Responsible for understanding all, and adhering to, all Production Department procedures and performance standards
•Responsible for exercising and promoting safety and cleanliness
•Provide ongoing input/efforts into the Company’s manufacturing processes for improvement, efficiency and cost reduction.
•Assist in other Production Department tasks as requested

REQUIREMENTS:
•Understanding of the screen-printing process and capability of efficiently setting up designs on press.
•Ability to learn and comprehend written instructions
•Professionalism and an ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) with others in the organization
•Ability to stand and twist for an entire shift
•Solid work skills and ability to accomplish detail tasks

PREFERRED:
•2-3 years experience operating M&R Challenger/Sportsman screen-printing auto presses.
•Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)

SALARY:
$15-20HR/DOE
