Manufacturing Engineer / Product Manager (santa clara)

Position Summary: Manufacturing Engineer to handle product management and manufacturing engineering activities in Operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Change Management: verification and approval of Engineering Change Proposals, documentation control, full ownership of manufacturing ECOs/MCOs/DCRs.
· Technical knowledge authority in Operations: detailed understanding of product design and functionality, involvement in troubleshooting of complex failures to identify root cause and propose corrective action. Conduct periodical trainings.
· Analyze product yields and failure causes. Lead cross organization activity to increase product reliability and manufacturing yields.
· Manage First Article Evaluation process (FAE). Lead cross organization activity to verify and release new parts and approve suppliers.
· Work closely with engineering department: involvement in design reviews of new products and resolution of design issues in existing products.
· Support new product introduction activity.
· Support Contract Manufacturers with knowledge, process definition and continuous improvement.
· Traveling: 15%
Required Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
· 3-5 years experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Product Management.
· Telecommunications/Wireless industry background. Technical Knowledge in RF & Microwave is an advantage.
· Independent, self motivated personality with strong communications skills and problem solving attitude.
· Knowledge of printed circuit assemblies; precision machined parts; metal die casting and sheet metals. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
· Basic ability to use CAD tools (AutoCAD, Solidworks) to update drawings and BOMs is an advantage.
· Proven experience with PDM systems (Agile).
· Strong working knowledge of MS Office and proficient with databases such as MS Access.
