Established and growing wind turbine supplier seeks an entry level shop helper to perform general labor duties including:
• Sand wind turbine towers outdoors using power tools.
• Pressure wash wind turbine components.
• Assist shop technicians with various duties relating to disassembly, repair, and assembly of wind turbines.
• General cleanup of shop including putting away tools, sweeping, cleaning office and bathroom, taking out garbage.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English in person and on a 2-way radio.
• Clean DMV and own vehicle to run occasional errands mostly local east bay.
Candidate must at a minimum be familiar with basic power tools and have mechanical aptitude. Those with experience in relevant trades such as construction, auto/truck repair, metal fabrication, manufacturing or other shop environments are encouraged to apply.
While this is an entry level position, there is plenty of room for advancement should the candidate possess mechanical, hydraulic, fiberglass, industrial painting, or electrical experience relevant to disassembly, repair, and rebuilding of wind turbines. In addition to regular salary reviews company benefits start after 3 months and include paid vacation/holidays, medical and may include bonuses.

Physical mobility is required for this position and individuals should meet the following:
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crawl
• Ability to work outdoors in a shop yard
• Have manual dexterity in both hands
• Ability to lift 60 lbs. to chest height
• Able to distinguish colors
This is a full time position from 8:30-5, M-F.
Salary $11/hr to start. First salary review after 90 days.
