CSG Technician Position Overview:
• The Customer Service Department is looking for highly motivated and talented people to provide quality service and repair of highly complex gyro-stabilized airborne surveillance turrets both at our service repair center and sometimes in the field. They will also interface directly with our customers, projecting a positive image of our department and company that will meet our customer’s highest expectations for service and support of their Sonoma EO equipment.
• The most important performance objective for this department is to repair and maintain Gimbal systems in accordance with pre-established processes, while adhering to customer deadlines. A successful Service Technician is able to understand the Gimbal system as a whole, understands how all components work together, and is able to effectively troubleshoot a failed system. You may utilize MS Office applications including Word and Excel to prepare documentation and presentations, and specialized software test programs. Knowledge in electronic and mechanical test equipment is also required. Education requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, AS Degree preferred, and a minimum of 5 years working as a Technician on products that are similar in complexity. Some domestic and international travel will be required to support customer requirements. Familiarity with government contracting is preferred but not required.
• This position requires highly motivated and energetic individuals that are creative and possess above average critical thinking skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem solving skills are a must along with the ability to interface well with demanding customers as well as co-workers. The best Field Service Technicians are highly motivated and customer focused. They work well independently and can be relied upon to make difficult decisions that will affect the performance and availability of mission critical systems.

Department Organization:
This position is part of the Customer Service Group organization, reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor. There are 13-15 team members on various product lines currently reporting to this Manager.

Performance Objectives:
• Become proficient in troubleshooting, repair and servicing of MX15/MX20 systems within 90 days. Training will include the following: initially working closely with other SEO technicians in the Santa Rosa CSG facility, 2 week training course at L-3 Wescam (Burlington, Canada), or L-3 Sonoma EO 2 months of on the job training in Wescam’s repair facility, and supporting field repairs with experienced technician. Troubleshoot and repair MX15/MX20 products to the component level. Understand and troubleshoot as required, problems related to aircraft integration of the MX15/MX20 product line.
• Up to 10% travel may be required, domestic and international locations.
• Complete all necessary service and repair documentation. Perform PM’s (Preventative Maintenance) on MX15/MX20 turrets.
• Perform PM’s (Preventative Maintenance) on MX15/MX20 turrets.
• Provide customer training on MX15/MX20 operations and low level maintenance procedures.
• Be part of a motivated and talented team that will support U.S. Homeland Security, ALE and military objectives by repairing mission critical MX15/MX20 systems.
• Complete all necessary service and repair documentation.
• As an ISO Certified Company, it is important to follow internal process to ensure conformance to established policies/procedures and support our ISO quality system by assisting in the development of quality system documentation.

ADA Requirements:
• This person must be creative, open-minded, a strong communicator, and a good listener. Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbal) to technical and non-technical internal customers. Must be able to work in fast paced, schedule driven environment, without sacrificing product quality.
• Able to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects. Acute attention to detail, excellent organizational skills.
• Able to work with general manufacturing hand tools, computers and electronic troubleshooting tools such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, power supplies.
• Ability to logically address, analyze, and resolve problems.
• Use basic hand tools for mechanical assembly, metalworking machines and precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Lift 35-50 lbs.
• This position will require some ability to travel. Work may be conducted at various customer locations, testing facilities, in the field, and in a manufacturing/testing factory environment.

Basic Qualifications & Education:
• Must have a minimum of 5 yrs experience as an electro-mechanical Technician, a successful track record of growth over time, and prior experience servicing systems in the field and in the factory.
• Demonstrable knowledge of troubleshooting electronics and mechanical systems, customer service skills and being a part of a motivated and diverse team. Must have the ability to troubleshoot system faults to the component level and the ability to work with Quality and Manufacturing Engineering to take corrective action.
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) to be considered for employment with L-3 SEO.
• Pre-employment drug screening and background checks standard.
• AS Electronics or equivalent experience is required.
