Danco Machine, founded in 1979, is one of the largest machine shops in Silicon Valley. The company has a reputation for quality machining with customers in the medical device, defense, aerospace and other industries. Danco Machine provides a broad process capability as a contract manufacturer, including CNC Machining (Milling & Turning), Assembly, EDM, Welding, sheet metal and grinding. The majority of revenue is from the medical device industry, where exacting tolerance requirements and extreme precision are the industry norm.

We are currently seeking a Quality Inspector to join our second shift team. The right candidate would be hourly paid, have experience in normal manufacturing inspection duties, be able to read engineering blueprints and be experienced with inspection of precision components.

Main responsibilities of the position:
• Inspection of components and assemblies, both in-process and final inspection.
• Using appropriate inspection tools/equipment to check critical dimensions and features per customer requirements.
• First article inspection and documentation.
• Communication and efficient problem solving between different manufacturing departments.

Requirements/personal attributes:
• 7 Years minimum experience as a full time inspector of CNC machined components.
• Geometric dimensioning and tolerance knowledge essential.
• Demonstrate strong mathematical and analytical skill set.
• Must be able to use the Microsoft Office suite (Excel & Word in particular)
• CMM operating experience a plus.
• Knowledge/experience with ISO 9001 or ISO 13485 quality management systems desirable.
• Strong team player and clear communicator.

Salary is in the range of $23-$31/hr. depending on experience. Note: Second shift hours are Mon-Fri from 4.30pm – 1am.
Also, overtime may be necessary based on workload.
