Bloom Energy, a fuel cell company and one of Silicon Valley’s most promising startups, is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to join its world class team. This individual should be a passionate, hands-on professional who is looking for a rewarding future in one of today’s most exciting technologies.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Manage Human and Materials resources for maximum productivity, quality and morale.
• Meet throughput, quality and productivity metrics set out in master plan
• Supervise and motivate a team of workers; creating a culture of personal responsibility and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with other teams, providers and recipients of services
• Schedule employees work, handle disciplinary matters, identify and help provide their training needs.
• Initiate and coordinate inventory cost control programs.
• Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
Education & Experience
• 5+ years of proven success as a hands-on supervisor in a high-volume manufacturing environment required
• Ability to understand & resolve 1st level issues on the floor with equipment & processes in a hands-on manner
• Experience with PCBs, SMTs, packaging or thick-film manufacturing a plus
• Experience implementing Production Systems: Scale-Up Manufacturing; Volume Production; Linear Production, Batch Production and Manufacturing Documentation/ERP Systems.
• Demonstrated record of supporting a quality focused production system focused on cycle time and cost improvements using continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and/or Kaizen methods.
• Superior communication skills, (written, verbal and active listening.)
• Highly motivated self-starter, capable of self management with little to no oversight
• Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships
