- Founder,
CEO of SoloSoft, Inc. Conceived and developed LisaProject, project
management software for Apple’s Lisa computer. Sold my
product idea to Apple to become the first third-party application
on the Lisa.
- Designed
and developed MacProject I and II for the Mac, the first third-party
application on the Mac, licensed to Apple / Claris. MacProject was
on MacWorld’s top ten list for best selling applications.
Winner of the A+ award from A+ Magazine. Winner of Reader’s
Choice Award from MacWorld.
- Consultant
as Macintosh expert for Adobe, Inc. and Brown & Bain in
litigation support for Apple.
Floreat,
Inc. and S3, Inc., San Jose, CA - Software
Developer, Embedded Systems
- 1994
to 1997
- Designed
and developed a touch screen telephone built on Floreat's
proprietary modem software and kernel OS. Managed a team of software
engineers who wrote the code in C for the VGA-sized screen phone
with voice, fax and data based on voice over data (VOD), the
precursor to VOIP.
- Worked
with Brother Inc.. to add this product to their product line of high
end phones, including demoing and working with engineers on site at
Brother in New Jersey.
Hewlett-Packard,
Cupertino, CA - Software
Engineer – 1976
to 1981
- Led
a team of software engineers in the development of the front-end of
a PC CAD layout system. User interface code for PC layout was
leveraged from work of a Stanford professor. I worked with his grad
students to port their code and integrate it with the rest of the PC
CAD software.
- Worked
in engineering on operating system tools. Wrote a linker/loader
for the HP System 1000.
- Supported
world-wide field and technical sales engineers on the Data Systems
Division line of products. I was the liaison between the field and
engineering, answering the phones on both domestic and overseas
calls. I was awarded the “Ball Award” for not dropping
the ball on clients' issues.
