Macintosh Lab Technician
The Macintosh Lab Technician assists students with basic software and hardware issues related to the Macintosh platform. Qualified candidate should possess a good working knowledge of OSX and at least 3 of the following applications:
Photoshop
Illustrator
Flash
Dreamweaver
BBEdit
Quark Xpress
Indesign
Acrobat
Final Cut Pro
After Effects
DVD Studio Pro
Director
Suitcase
Web Browsers
FTP Clients
Other responsibilities may include:
Helping students with ink jet and Fiery printers.
Assisting students with network file transfers.
Helping students burn CDs and DVDs.
Checking students into the lab.
Stocking printers with paper and toner.
Keeping workstations neat and organized.
Enforce lab policies and maintain the facilities.
Previous technical support or customer service experience a plus.
Shift Available: 3:30pm-12:00am, Friday through Tuesday (Wed & Thurs off)
This is a part-time position, 40 hours/week and 37 weeks/yr. (work is available 15 weeks in fall, 15 weeks in spring, and 7 weeks in summer).
Pay Rate: $13.50/hr
This position includes the following benefits: one tuition free undergraduate class per semester, paid sick leave accrual, a limited health insurance plan, and a 401K plan after one year of service (pending completion of the required minimum hours of work)
