Position: Web Developer
Responsible for all Web programming and Web-related projects, including coding functionality on intranet and internet Web sites, eCommerce development, modifying Web content, modifying user interface for intranet and internet Web sites, updating site navigation, and managing internal databases.
Own long-term strategic roadmap for Client’s Web presence:
Plan and execute redesign of Web properties, as determined by corporate direction.
Research and keep well-informed of new Web developments and technologies.
Develop new programming skills through research or training.
Provide strategic recommendations on new opportunities based on ROI analysis.
Provide support to sales team for Web development:
Implement Web updates related to product information.
Build widgets for client’s product pages on customer account Web sites.
Analyze and re-engineer all processes for internal and external Web property updates and information flow.
Work with eMarketing and IT teams to create and integrate corporate presence on 3rd party Web sites (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube).
Provide strategic recommendations on the functionality, content, and look and feel of Web properties; prioritize and execute these changes.
Build and maintain Web sites using technologies that conform to updated international standards and ensure that they are universally accessible.
Proactively manage and update existing Web sites/pages.
Prioritize requests from internal teams for Web updates and provide timelines.
Communicate and provide transparency regarding the status of Web projects.
Manage relationship with 3rd party partner as needed.
Perform other tasks as required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Web development using .Net Framework, Microsoft ASP, ASP.net, VB.net, and Visual Basic.
Proficient in Javascript, VBscript, HTML, XHTML, CSS, PHP, Dreamweaver, Macromedia Flash, MS SQL and MS Access.
Must have good analytical and debugging skills and a systematic approach to programming tasks.
Knowledge of different browser compatibility.
Superior knowledge of current Web development trends and technologies, a strong online portfolio displaying user-centered design, and experience with Web database solutions required.
Integration experience with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, Flickr preferred.
Independently motivated with strong technical skills that can work in a fast-paced environment.
Good spoken and written English in order to communicate with team members, sales team, and 3rd party teams.
Attention to detail, customer-service orientation, and creativity in problem-solving.
Ability to work in a team and to communicate in an effective, non-confrontational manner.
Experience with photography/video editing a plus
- Compensation: $70,000 to $85,000/yr
