Single Grain is an Internet Marketing & Web Design Company based in San Francisco (SOMA). We are seeking a candidate that can support both web design and wordpress developer work as well as some general administrative duties. Candidates would design and code new websites as well as help build reports, proposals, Excel charts, and PowerPoint presentations.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• design & customize websites based on wordpress themes
• Creating images, banners, pages and mock ups that are used in our online marketing communications and products. take a Photoshop Mockup and convert it into clean HTML / CSS code.
• Ability to conceptualize, sketch, and implement ideas for web and multimedia using Adobe
• Ability to handle multiple projects involving numerous changes simultaneously
• Comfortable working within existing templates or creating new templates (primarily Wordpress)
• Ability to take direction, but also to think independently to solve challenges
• Implement web design parameters, style guides and visual standards
• Pull stock photography
• Competence and willingness to multitask under pressure and tight deadlines
• Fulfill basic design production tasks needed
• Build reports, proposals, excel charts and powerpoint presentations


Skills & Experience:

• Bachelors degree or at least 2-3 years of equivalent work experience.
• 3 years professional experience in web design
• Highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Highly proficient in HTML and CSS
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
• Self-motivated, ability to work independently to implement creative and editorial direction
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced iterative development environment, which includes initiating projects, delivering on time, communicating well, and following-through
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Familiar with Internet Marketing (SEO, PPC, Social Media)
• Experience with Wordpress and PHP

This is a part-time, contractor position to start.
