Senior Manager, Genentech Informatics Meeting Services

Responsibilities:
The Meeting Services Senior Manager is responsible for the 24X7X365 operations of Genentech's Conference Room, Video Conference, Event Center Services technology systems. This position involves the service level management of meeting IT infrastructure support. Services include: Audio Video systems, Video Conference, Telepresence, Webcast, training rooms, digital signage, social network via ACRS and logistics and coordination of off site meetings, town hall events, all hands meetings. Meeting Services is an entirely new function at Genentech and the energy, ideas and edge to create a world-class service operation is paramount to the success of the candidate.

This individual will work closely with business leaders to understand their needs and align work to meet business objectives. In addition, this person will work collaboratively with global partners to ensure usability and successful meeting collaboration for Corporate customers.

Requirements:
The candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Computer Science or Audio Video engineering with a minimum of eight years of experience in IT management or senior technical lead roles and a minimum of five years of experience working in a high availability operational environment. The position requires excellent skills in customer service, team development, leadership, vendor and business relationship management. A demonstrated background managing cross-functional teams in a globally matrix support organization is a plus.

Candidate must possess a proven ability to face enterprise challenges with confidence and demonstrate the ability make decisions and take appropriate business risks.
