The Systems & Applications Manager is responsible for managing both the physical hardware and software applications environment for a growing services company. The individual we are seeking will have demonstrated experience in developing business solutions in MS Office / MS SQL Server environment as well as keeping our small data center up and running. We are seeking an IT professional comfortable with a broad range of IT applications and systems needs.

Applications:
  • Experienced in supporting the business and automation needs of users ERP and Accounting packaged Systems

  • Report writing using our ERP Package in conjunction with MS SQL Server, Access and Excel

  • Managing, prioritizing and supporting company helpdesk

  • Database and network backup, connectivity, disaster recovery

  • Enhance our basic vendor supplied customer web-portal to one we can evolve independently

Systems:
  • Desktop Support – PC, mobile laptop users in XP, MS Office, Outlook environment

  • Providing technical training and support

  • Network Support

  • Diagnosis and resolution of user issues, configuration of devices, installation of approved software and trouble shooting for technical problems encountered by in-house and field personnel

  • Identify and monitor critical system resources to avoid potential system downtime

  • Maintain network security, patches, virus definitions

  • Maintain Outlook mail server

  • Operating and maintaining uptime of Small XP based data center

We are a small company transitioning from using outsourced technology support to having these skills in house. We seek somebody who can work with the business on our applications needs while at the same time keeping our physical infrastructure up and running. We are looking for an individual who is efficient in managing time and knows when to bring in outside help.


Standards and Qualification

The successful candidate will have:
  • A minimum of three years technical support experience

  • Applicable Microsoft Certified Professional certifications

  • SQL Reporting experience

  • Strong network administration experience

  • Ability to demonstrate organization skills and to prioritize multiple projects

Compensation: $55K-$65K
