We are looking for a client services representative to support the students, faculty and scholars that we serve with our online solutions.
Responsibilities
-Assisting users with basic inquiries about our online tools
-Corresponding with users via phone and email in a timely, friendly, and professional manner
-Providing general assistance to the Client Services team as needed. This may include, but is not limited to, light manuscript formatting, basic HTML editing, and product testing.
Required Qualities and Capabilities
-Bachelor's degree
-High attention to detail
-Ability to juggle multiple tasks and track time carefully
-Excellent communication and presentation skills - primarily for phone and email interactions/trainings
-Basic HTML
-Ability to pick up new technologies quickly and independently
-Familiarity with basic word processing programs (e.g., MS Word) and the Internet
-Enthusiasm and a willingness to contribute beyond a narrow job description
-Patience
-Care for our clients is paramount
Preferred Qualities and Capabilities
-1-2 years' experience assisting clients over phone and email
-Working knowledge of CSS
-Familiarity with academic publishing and university culture a plus
-Experience using databases (e.g., FileMaker, SalesForce, Access) to search and edit records
-Humor
