We are seeking a Level 1 Help Desk Technician for a PART TIME INTERN POSTION.
The Help Desk Tech will be responsible for answering phone calls, resolving issues or generating work orders for the appropriate IS Department Staff. The Help Desk Tech ensures that all client computer related needs are handled in a prompt, efficient and appropriate manner.
Essential Job Functions:
Answering phone calls, generating work orders, resolving issues or assigning work orders to the appropriate staff member.
Troubleshoot issues involving computer hardware, software, mobile devices and peripherals. Escalates to Level 2 support when appropriate.
Installs and updates desktops, laptops, PDAs, peripherals, and related software
Assists with set up of computers in offices, conference rooms, and other locations as needed
Assists in the evaluation and testing of hardware and software to ensure current and in good working order
Communicates properly and promptly with personnel and external contacts at all times and must exhibit a high level of customer service at all times
Maintains inventory information and licensing information as appropriate
Requirements:
The skills, experiences and education requires for this position include the following:
High School Diploma/GED and formal education or equivalent experience in Microsoft Basic OS Operation and Microsoft Office Basics
Must possess an excellent customer service attitude
Experience should include, but is not limited to:
Microsoft Office
Windows desktop operating systems
PC and laptop setups
