Position Summary:
You will be responsible for installing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining our VoIP Platforms. You must have the ability to work independently and with your lead. You will be required to work with other departments at Telekenex to ensure our servers and services meet the needs of our customers and our company.

Your team responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Install, monitor, maintain and document all of our VoIP related platforms
• Assisting with the development of new products.
• Documentation of architecture, design, procedures, checklists, and other system related documentation.
• Monitoring traffic usage for customers (web and shell servers) and identifying potential problems
• Participation and scheduling of on-call shift coverage
• Troubleshoot complex VoIP issues escalated from other departments

This position requires the following skills and experience:
• Understanding of VoIP Softswitch architecture
• Knowledge of SIP and RTP
• Basic understanding of CALEA, and E911 requirements
• Experience in deployment of SIP and SCCP Endpoints
• Understanding of Session Border Controllers
• Ability to take ownership of complicated issues
• Ability to prioritize based on immediate needs
• Detailed Linux and Solaris OS knowledge
• Basic *nix shell and Perl scripting knowledge
• Understanding of industry standard server maintenance processes
• Willingness to work in a team environment to solve and complete tasks
• Should be adept at working with UNIX servers operation and be familiar with the interaction between servers and services in the present network.
• A strong ability to troubleshoot problems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to train users in applications and UNIX fundamentals, and the writing of basic documentation
• Advanced level networking skills

Nice to Haves
• Prior experience with VocalData/Tekelec 6000/Genband M6/Broadsoft Broadworks
• CPE PBX’s Like Asterisk, Cisco Call Manager, Avaya Office, etc.
• Experience with ACME Packets Session Border Controllers
• Database knowledge
