We are looking for a Junior Linux Administrator with 1 experience in Perl, Python and PHP - people willing to learn our product, explore new new technologies and how we can interface with them, work with our customers to troubleshoot or expand the product using the API or customizations. Our engineers get a chance to explore and learn new network & server technologies since they have to keep up with the cutting edge environments of our customers.
The ideal candidate should have the following required skills and experience with a willingn
* Provide a high-level of technical expertise to major network, hosting, and enterprise customers along with internal service delivery teams
* Actively explore new network technologies and how our product can interface or work with these technologies
* Work with customers to troubleshoot or expand the product using the API
* Give feedback to the development teams about observed requirements from Customer installations
* Work closely with all levels of customers, internal engineers and management to ensure resolution of complex issues.
* Assist in developing internal and customer facing knowledge based articles, participate in User Forums etc.
Requirements
* Expert Unix/Linux scripting skills (Perl, Python or shell and PHP)
* BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
* Minimum of 1 year of direct experience in Linux/Unix administration
* Solid understanding of TCP/IP networks and SNMP based management
* Working knowledge of VMware, Xen, and/or Microsoft Virtual Server
* Hands-on experience with Network and Application monitoring tools such as NetVigil, GroundWorks, OpenNMS, HP OpenView, BMC Patrol a plus
* SNMP based network management system experience a strong plus
* Strong customer service, technical account management, and troubleshooting skills required
* Passion for the Internet and related new technologies
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational skills, and able to work well in a fast paced start-up environment
We are looking for somebody that just finished college and BS in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. We only accepted US Citizen and Green Card.
