Provides technical leadership for security strategy and architecture development/design, system and software requirements analysis, specification, implementation, testing, integration, and accreditation of trusted systems. Evaluates and executes the technical security vulnerabilities and control measures of various operating systems (Unix, Linux and Windows) to prevent hackers from infiltrating company information or jeopardizing e-commerce programs.
Responsibilities:
- Researches & develops all aspects of information security engineering with responsibility to assess & mitigate system security threat/risk throughout the program life cycle.
- Defines and validates system security requirements. Implements secure systems/standards using ISO 27001 & ISO 17799.
- Participates in the development of a disaster recovery & business continuity plan for company.
- Researches attempted efforts to compromise security protocols.
- Uses applicable encryption methods.
- Provides information to management regarding the negative impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information.
- Considered a senior level individual contributor responsible for execution of projects that link to corporate strategy & objectives.
- Considered technical expert with ability to solve complex problems & establish innovative solutions.
Required Skills/Experience: - Requires relevant BA/BS Degree plus 8 years of related experience plus a CISSP, CISM or SANS certification.
- Knowledge of information security relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to develop, debug, and run UNIX Shell Scripts.
Desired Skills: - Experience in some of these areas: NIDS/HIDS, SEIM, Log Management, Patch Management, Vulnerability Management, eDiscovery, Virtual Machine Security
- Experience in some of these areas: Security Architecture, Policies & Standards, Risk Management, Incident Handling and Response, Information Classification
