This person will join a growing Network Operations team based in San Francisco, with responsibilities in our San Francisco main office and occasional visits to multiple South Bay datacenter locations. Hours are flexible, but will often require late evening and 24x7 responses to critical issues on a fast-growing, high volume network infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
• Manage Security Event Management (SEM) system
• Respond to and manage security incidents, including identifying, containing and mitigating threats to Zynga, its employees, its partners, and user community
• Automate monitoring, train NOC personnel and write procedures to respond to security incidents.
• Manage Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IDP), SSL VPN, RSA SecurID servers, Splunk, and Web Application Firewall (WAF). Tune and update signatures and rules
• Define and implement a strategy to detect and mitigate Denial of Service (DoS) attacks
• Define and implement a host protection strategy, including host-based firewalls, host based web firewalls, change detection and Unix OS hardening
• Device a vulnerability management system, including OS and web scanning using automated tools as well as manual processes
• Participate in on-call rotation and as escalation as required
Required Skills:
• BA/BS or equivalent experience required
• 5+ years of experience in information security with additional general IT experience.
• Advanced understanding of IDS/IPS, WAF and SEM/SIM rule creation and false positive and negative identification
• Demonstrable skills in identifying and mitigating security vulnerabilities in operating systems and web applications
• Advanced understanding of routed and switched networks
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP stack and proficient with tcpdump or other network analysis tools
• Ability to analyze technical risks and provide accreditation reports on products and processes
• Experience managing and protecting Unix systems, preferably CentOS
• Knowledge and experience recommending security solutions (with internal or external customers)
• Understanding of the PCI DSS v1.2 security controls
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Programming experience using perl, “C” or similar languages desired
• CISSP, CCIE, and/or CISA desired
