We are seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join our talented team in the development of the best web-based service for real-estate investment. This is a unique opportunity to play a lead role implementing our vision to change the way people evaluate and buy real estate.
The ideal candidate is someone who can take charge of our site operations, from design to configuration, installation, security, troubleshooting and maintenance. You should thrive in a fast-paced, team oriented environment, be self-sufficient, have excellent communication skills, and proven ability to meet operating objectives.
Experience:
• The ability to install and support a high volume managed service on-line site
• 7+ years of experience with Linux installation, administration, security, troubleshooting, backup and recovery (CentOS, and RedHat preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of Webservers (Apache), performance tuning and scalability
• Understanding of performance testing for load, stress, and capacity
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and configuration including set up and management of routers and load balancers
• Knowledge of security and how to manage firewalls and overall site security
• Strong scripting/automation skills (Shell scripting)
• The ability to use tools such as SNMP and TCPdump to monitor activity, diagnose problems and optimize performance
• Experience with Release Management for online websites
• Experience with MySQL administration is strongly desired
• Ruby, SED, AWK, Perl is desired, but not required
