Lawrence Berkeley National Lab is looking to hire a highly skilled Principal HR Business Systems Analyst to join its Human Resources Team! Reporting to the Manager of HR Systems and Services, you will provide assistance in new application implementations and serve as the system administrator for the Talent Management Suite of applications, e.g., Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Succession Planning, etc. This also includes leading the HR systems training effort, participating in workflow analysis and design of HR business processes, providing expert advice in query development, and resolving complex data and table structure issues.
Specifically, you will be working on:
• Project Support: Serve as the lead Analyst in implementing new HR system applications. The focus will be on the Talent Management Suite of applications and PeopleSoft HRMS. Post-implementation, serve as the System Administrator for Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, and Succession Planning applications. This also includes in-depth participation during system upgrades, especially in developing and implementing testing plans; and developing new procedures as processes are implemented. Independently determine the best method to approach project support.
• Data Analysis: Resolve complex data and table structure issues. This involves completing in depth analysis and evaluation for issues, and researching and developing solutions for data reconciliation. Independently determine the best method to approach researching and solving structure issues.
• End-User Training: Lead the development and delivery of blended learning training for all HR System Applications. This includes the development and update of system documentation.
• Reporting: Provide expert knowledge in the development of complex queries and data analysis in both the Talent Management suite of applications and PeopleSoft HRMS.
• Business Process Re-Engineering: Participate as a senior member of business process re-engineering teams.
Key Success Factors:
• Minimum of 6-years of relevant experience in HR business systems. An advanced degree or professional certification in HR or Business Systems would be a plus!
• Experience with implementing and administering Taleo or similar Talent Acquisition applications which includes candidate relationship management, on-boarding, and building multiple candidate portals.
• Experience with PeopleSoft HRMS application and other Talent Management applications.
• Broad understanding of HR business processes, and the ability to creatively identify opportunities for optimization through system solutions.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and ability to interact with customers to establish and develop system requirements. Broad experience creating process flows, functional specifications, use case scenarios, and test plans.
• In-depth experience creating complex queries, ad hoc reports and conducting data analysis, as well as designing metrics/graphs for use in a manager's dashboard.
• In-depth experience in developing and delivering a wide range of blended learning training topics, e.g., talent acquisition, performance management, advanced query, etc.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work in a complex and dynamic environment. Strong team player and leadership skills.
