Position:
OpenVPN Technologies is pioneering virtualization for Enterprise Network and open source project for VPN (www.openvpn.net) and is looking for a Network Engineer to join its team. The ideal candidate will have 3 or more years of TCP/IP network administration experience, encompassing Linux/Unix systems administration, MySQL database administration, and PHP/Perl/shell script programming skills.
Responsibilities:
This staff level position is responsible for the network design, day-to-day networking support and system administration of the network and its supporting systems. Duties include deployment of network servers, design and implementation of network monitoring tools, troubleshooting, configuration, MySQL database maintenance and administration, and programming web interfaces for databases using PHP.
Required Experience:
• B.S. C.S. or equivalent work experience
• Expert knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and architecture
• Demonstrated knowledge of Linux features and configuration, including distributions such as CentOS, Red Hat Enterprise and Fedora Core
• Experience with Linux/Unix System Administration tasks
• Demonstrated expertise with advanced applications: firewalls, load balancers, VPN, switches, routers, high-availability and failover systems
• Experience with configuration and support of various networking protocols including DNS, DHCP, SMNP, SMTP, VLAN, and other Network Protocols.
• Experience with open-source applications such as Apache and Tomcat, OpenVPN, MySQL, BIND, DHCP, MRTG, and others
• Programming experience with PHP, Perl, shell scripts, and python, including designing and implementing web interfaces using tools such as Joomla.
