Position Description
The Systems Administrator role is critical to success of InsideTrack. This position is part of a dynamic team committed to providing outstanding customer service. This employee can work out of our Portland, OR or San Francisco, CA office.
Key responsibilities:
Apply industry standard systems analysis techniques and procedures to determine hardware, software, and system functional specifications including design, documentation, creation, testing, and modification of computer systems or programs.
Implement management policies into business operations
Own and troubleshoot issues from start to finish with follow up as necessary
Work in and around servers to ensure 24/7 availability
Troubleshoot Windows workstations/servers, Office, VPN, firewalls, networking, printing, etc
Document IT processes
Provide 2nd tier support to helpdesk personnel and assist as necessary in high load situations
Work cooperatively with other departments
Provide training for helpdesk staff on systems administration tasks
Maintain security and privacy of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment
Develop, review, and certify all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans
Technical Qualifications
Windows Server 2003/2008
Exchange 2007
Advanced Active Directory experience (site topologies, group policy, DFS, etc)
Backup Exec 12.5
IIS6 and 7 PHP experience is a plus
MySQL experience a plus
Microsoft DPM, SCCM, SCOM experience a plus
SQL 2005 and 2008 (SSAS, SSRS, SSAS, BI tools a plus)
EqualLogic iSCSI SAN (or other iSCSI SAN experience)
HP Proliant Servers (primarily DL360s)
Cisco ASA/IOS expertise, including site-to-site VPN configurations
MPLS network environments
Cisco 3560, 3750 must understand VLAN, link aggregation, etc
Cisco 26/28xx series ISRs
Blackberry Enterprise Server 4/5.x management
VMWare vSphere/vCenter experience (Enterprise) HA/DRS, VCB/P experience a plus
Corporate system security products (AntiVirus, Encryption, Spam prevention, NAC)
Network Reporting/Monitoring e.g. Cacti/MRTG
Helpdesk software management/SLA escalation processes
Remote systems management experience
SIP/SCCP VOIP telephony experience

Able to evaluate critical systems, prioritize workflow, and determine solutions
A self-starter
Willing and able to learn if you can Google to find an answer, you are on the right track!
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to maintain a professional and effective working relationship with managers and coworkers
Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, some 24/7 support may be required
Able to learn new technologies and acquire new skills
Occasional travel to remote office locations and proven experience supporting a multi-site environment
