We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic, hard-working, and creative candidate to join our Information Technology team in a senior-level position as a Senior Systems Administration. This position offers an exciting opportunity with a privately held, tier-1, venture capital-backed, pre-IPO company.
We are seeking to expand our IT team with a senior level superstar Systems Administrator. Our ideal candidate would have 8 to 10 years of experience supporting a mixture of both enterprise and production customer-facing Linux systems. This position is for an individual that is comfortable wearing many hats. While the positions primary focus is Linux systems administration, the individual should have an equally solid and comprehensive skill set in networking.

VLANs (Layer 2/3 routing/switching)

PCI (Experience in DSS compliance)
Backup (both conventional, remote data vaulting and DDup)
Responsibilities:
Maintain the existing infrastructure
Assist in the build-out of new infrastructure
Monitor systems with alerting tools
Resolve daily ticket requests
Share 24x7 on-call duties
Education and Certifications:
RHCE or equivalent
CCNA, CISSP, MCP, MCSA and MCSE (one or more of the listed certifications)
BS/BA Degree preferred
Qualifications:
Team oriented and results driven
Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
Proactive stance on infrastructure and environment
Excellent oral/written communication
Extensive experience applying industry best practices
