Days per Week: 5
Hours per Day: 8 (7:00am 3:30pm)
Months per Year: 12

The Salary Range on the current Classified Salary Schedule is as follows:
HOURLY $21.96 - $27.36

Position Description: This position assists staff with technical support of desktop computers, applications, and related technology. Support includes specification, installation, and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established standards and guidelines. Activities require interaction with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems. The position utilizes one-on-one consultancy to end users and the District Network Manager. The employee in this position also assists in the maintenance and testing of network servers and associated equipment. The positions responsibilities require independent analyses, communication and problem solving. Work is performed with little supervision and requires initiative and judgment.
Responsibilities:
Interact with numerous computer platforms in a multi-layered client server environment. Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including file servers, email servers, application servers and administrative systems.
Trains and orients staff on use of hardware and software.
Assists in maintaining LAN/WAN records and, as appropriate, telephone systems cable.
Works with vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
Qualifications:
A+ Certification Required
Experience trouble shooting, installing & connecting equipment and software with both Windows and MAC based PCs
Working knowledge of Windows XP Professional required.
MCSA a plus
Any Macintosh experience a plus
Telecommunications experience a plus.
o Fingerprints must be taken of all persons selected for employment and will be subject to State and Federal records check.
o A tuberculin test is required at time of initial employment and every four years thereafter.
o Proof of citizenship or legal status will be required upon offer of employment.
o Proof of graduation from a California High School or equivalent since 1991 or proof from any California School District that the individual has passed the proficiency requirement.
