Position Responsibilities may include but are not limited to assisting with the following:
-Manage all relationships with telecommunications and other 3rd party IT vendors (Phones, Co-Lo, ISP, Web Host, etc.). Review and advise on contracts, point of contact, first level of support.
-Administer all servers at remote web host. This includes the routine maintenance, configuration, and monitoring of the Linux and Windows 2003 servers. Specific items including but not limited to Firewall configuration, OS updates and patches, backups, security auditing, and coordinating upgrades or other configuration changes with web host.
-Systems Administrator for all IT hardware and software for the LAN servers (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Windows 2003), desktops (Windows XP Professional, Mac), printers, firewalls and networking. This includes ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, planning, purchasing, configuration, wiring, installation, and account maintenance for all IT systems and clients.
-Maintain company email, website domains and remote file storage
-Maintain company PBX and voicemail system
Required skill set & experience:
Windows XP Professional, Mac Desktop, Laptop & LAN support
Windows 2003 Server
Linux/Unix Administration, Apache Server, mySQL
Microsoft IIS, Microsoft SQL Server
DNS/WINS/DHCP/LDAP, Active Directory
HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, TCP/IP, Load Balancing
Understanding of firewall, VPN and network security technology
Experience with Backup & Recovery Software (e.g., amanda)
Antivirus management (Symantec)
Desired, but not required:
Familiarity with Drupal CMS
Experience with Web analytics software (e.g., AWStats, Google Analytics)
HTML, JavaScript, PHP or other scripting experience
Certifications: A+, MCSE, CompTIA Network+, Red Hat Certified Engineer
