Cryptic Studios is currently seeking a full-time Network Operations Engineer. Do you think you have what it takes to design and implement networks for Cryptic's next generation of MMOGs?

Every day you could be:
• Leading design and implementation of specific network operations infrastructure projects.
• Writing network operations design specs and project plans.
• Handling complex administration tasks for internal applications.
• Authoring documentation, tech notes and procedures to improve service delivery.


What you need to work here:
• Solid knowledge of Window server systems and systems security.
• User-level experience with Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Three or more years of experience supporting enterprise-level networks.
• Experience using network/service monitoring packages. (MRTG, WhatsUp)
• Ability to quickly master Cryptic's internally developed toolset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
• Server/Network related professional certifications. (Network+, Server+, MCP)
• This role requires working a graveyard shift.


What we'd like to see:
• Game industry network operations experience.
• Ability to create automation tools in one or more scripting languages (VB, Shell, Perl).
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (CS, CIS, EE).
• Current MCSE/MCSA certification.
• Administrative scripting skills (PHP, UNIX shell scripting).
