The Music Link is seeking a Jr. Systems Administrator with good troubleshooting skills who is fluent in Microsoft OS and can solve cross-platform support issues. Experience with Samba/Linux networking is a plus.
The position is responsible for supporting servers, networking equipment, desktops, and end-user applications both on-site and remotely across a VPN.
Responsibilities Include:
• Server application support, including MAS500, Microsoft SQL, Citrix, IM, FTP, and essential network services.
• Desktop/User support, including software training and on-demand troubleshooting.
• Installing/Maintaining Networking equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, and VPN.
• Data backup/recovery.
• Network account/security maintenance.
• Support for other locations and remote VPN users.
• Working with hardware/software vendors and negotiating IT purchases.
• Responding to occasional off-hours technical issues.
• Maintaining IT documentation/Notes/procedure guides.
Education:
B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
