POSITION: Web/SharePoint Developer
REPORTS TO: Web Development Manager
LOCATION: Specialized Bicycle Components, Morgan Hill CA
SUMMARY: Work with multiple departments on SharePoint and Java/SQL-based web projects for internal web tools and B2C/B2B websites in multiple markets/languages.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Interface with internal customers to analyze business requirements and propose technology-based solutions.
• Write functional specifications for information systems design. These will be used as the basis for developing and implementing new web systems and/or modifying existing systems.
• Work in project teams made up of other members of the IS staff, and internal customers/external vendors as needed to implement the above.
• Define testing and acceptance criteria for major web system projects, including user-based acceptance testing.
Specifically in the following areas:
• Develop and support solutions within SharePoint, including accessing outside corporate data sources and applications
• Develop and support Java/JSP-based web tools for multiple internal customers
• Develop and support public/e-commerce websites
• Develop and support B2B for all markets/subsidiaries
• Work with global marketing to support web product launches
• Work with Product Development, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and other departments on special projects
EXPERIENCE:
• Three years experience in building web features for Microsoft SharePoint Server (MOSS)
• Three years experience in development of web pages using Java, JSP and SQL
• Experience in accessing external data sources from SharePoint
• Experience in managing web projects from user-requirements gathering through analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
• BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience
• Proficiency with MOSS concepts and web parts
• Proficiency in using .NET technologies with C# / ASP.NET
• Proficiency in Java, JSP, SQL, HTML, CSS, and Javascript
• Excellent analytical, design, usability, and coding skills
