POSITION: Web Developer (full-time)
REPORTS TO: Web Development Manager
LOCATION: Specialized Bicycle Components, Morgan Hill, CA

SUMMARY: Work with multiple departments on Java/SQL-based web projects for internal web tools and B2C/B2B websites in multiple markets/languages.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Interface with Product Managers, Marketing, and Sales to analyze business requirements and propose technology based solutions.
2. Write functional specifications for information systems design. These will be used as the basis for developing and implementing new web systems and/or modifying existing systems.
3. Work in project teams made up of other members of the IS staff, and internal/external vendors as needed to implement the above.
4. In conjunction with members of other departments, define testing and acceptance criteria for major web system projects. This will include a user-based acceptance test, which is the final quality assurance step before new systems are released for use.

Specifically in the following areas:
• Develop and support web tools for multiple internal customers
• Develop and support public/e-commerce websites
• Develop and support B2B for all subsidiaries
• Work with global marketing to support web product launches
• Work with Sales, Marketing, and other departments on special projects

EXPERIENCE:
1. Three years experience in development of web pages
2. One year experience using Oracle Database and Java/JSP/SQL
3. Three years experience developing software in a UNIX based client server environment.
4. Three years PC and Mac experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
1. BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
2. Proficiency in Java, SQL, HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
3. Proficiency with Oracle database concepts.
4. Proficiency with structured design, documentation and implementation.
5. Prior experience in e-commerce environment.
6. Prior experience with Oracle user security concepts a plus.
