The Web Manager will:
· Provide management for the vision, planning, enhancement scheduling and overall quality of the 12L District intranet site.
· Develop a long-term vision and strategy for the intranet site, working with business and technical management.
· Have strong people management skills with an eagerness to mentor staff.
· Guide a technical team that is charged with enhancing, extending and maintaining the intranet. This includes developing new pages and web applications while maintaining 24/7 availability of the portal. You will direct and manage existing pages and applications, implement new applications and pages from user requests, and develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers.
· Possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the technology space to find innovative solutions for the Portal.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in delivering high quality solutions and have a proven technical background, strong analytical skills and well rounded business/industry experience. You must demonstrate the ability to effectively build relationships, interfacing at all corporate levels.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop a vision and strategy for the intranet site for the next five years
* Promote the role of the portal to increase usability for communications and applications among Bank management and staff
* Envision and elaborate web solutions
* Manage the prioritization and development of new products and features
* Work closely with technical staff to develop product functionality and maintain a stable platform
* Do customer research to make informed product decisions
* Create detailed cost and revenue models
* Define product positioning and marketing plans
* Analyze and report product success
* Manage and develop staff
REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent work experience.
* 7+ years of experience in web/portal project management, design, and/or development.
* Excellent teamwork skills. Prior supervisory or team leader experience.
* Eagerness to mentor staff.
* Working knowledge with one or more Web platforms, especially SharePoint and Websphere 6.0/6.1.
* Proven ability to analyze complex business solutions.
* Lead the analysis and design as well as assist with project planning to identify scope and approach.
* Knowledge of enablers and constraints of technologies for web and portal development.
* Demonstrated knowledge of corporate web applications and solutions.
* Strong experience in user-centered design and product development lifecycle management.
* Full understanding of development methodologies, consulting best practices, and common application architectures.
* Influential communication skills (verbal, written, presentation and negotiation).
* Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
* Enthusiasm for talking to customers.
* Proven project manager and team leader.
* Can track multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
