We are looking for an incredibly strong Web UI Engineer capable of making an immediate and significant impact on building new internal applications to support our world class email marketing team.

The great thing about this role is you get to do a little bit of everything! It requires someone who has solid experience in architecting, designing and building enterprise web applications. While the primary challenges will be focused on user interface engineering, you will also need a wide range of technical skills that span from back end to front end. You will be working with the Netflix marketing team to understand their business needs and translating their requirements into tools that boost their productivity. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a wide range of experience, but is ultimately most passionate about building great user experiences.

SKILLS

- Expert-level knowledge of DHTML (JavaScript, Ajax, CSS)
- Expert-level knowledge of Java (or equivalent languages)
- Solid knowledge of Java based UI architectures (including tradeoffs between different architectures like Struts, Grails, etc.)
- Solid experience in architecting & building enterprise web applications
- Strong sense of what is required in a great user interface
- Excellent verbal and written communications
- Desire to work in a fast paced, evolving, growing, dynamic environment
- Complete understanding of the full cycle development (design, development and testing)
- Enjoy technical challenges
- Self-motivated

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- BS or MS degree in Computer science or equivalent
- 8+ years software engineering experience
- 5+ years professional web development experience
