Company Overview

Quantros, the leading Patient Safety and Regulator Reporting software provider, is seeking an experienced technical lead. This position will plan and manage the delivery of business systems solutions and associated services to meet business objectives and ongoing operations.

Position Overview

* Individual will work closely with the functional business group(s) to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of system(s), solution(s) deployed in support of business goals and objectives.
* Individual will participate and contribute in multiple engineering projects during the entire Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC).
* Individual will work with product development team(s) and technical lead(s) to understand and implement requirements
* Individual will develop a thorough understanding of Quantros product(s) and service(s)
* Individual will contribute in creation and completion of technical document(s) pertaining to new and/or existing Quantros product(s) and service(s)
* Individual will participate in managing offshore team(s).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Application / System development, project planning, estimating, executing, tracking task(s), implementation(s) and managing project(s).
* Providing leadership and direction to the application development staff for specified product(s).
* Drive and advise application development staff(s).
* Responsible for managing technology and consulting vendor/partner relationship, service delivery and overall performance.
* Writing SQL queries to check data consistency, PL/SQL procedures and Triggers, and debug issues.
* Developing tools to automate processes and creating new programs as needed
* Developing programs to generate SQL scripts for product maintenance
* Debugging code using tools such as Firebug, Visual Studio, and the likes.

Competency

* Successful candidate MUST possess minimum of 4-5 years of Software Engineering experience.
* Hands on Experience in J2EE development is a MUST. Experience in Weblogic Application Server.
* Expertise in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL.
* Prior experience of software development in Healthcare industry is highly desirable.
* Project Management tracking systems (Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, Project.net, SharePoint, etc)
* 2+ years Project Management experience is a PLUS.
* Knowledge of JavaScript, ExtJS, AJAX programming, and other Web 2.0 technologies is a PLUS.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills

Education

* A minimum of Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a well recognized college or university.
* Master’s degree (in above fields) is highly desirable.
