The Associate Project Manager integrates the efforts of all persons internally and externally contributing to the project and primarily working through the various functional managers and project leaders. This role assists in the coordination and execution through the title's test lifecycle under the direction of the project sponsors such as executive management, FQA management, and third or first party management. The project manager executes the project to meet the time, cost, and performance objectives as established by the project sponsor and PMO Manager. He/she will be expected to complete resource analyses per project, prepare and maintain project plans, monitor progress within multiple areas, act as liaison between FQA and first/third party publishers, and prepare project reports for management to keep all stakeholders informed of progress on the projects. He/she will be expected to monitor the project during and after title testing. Ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for external project. Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization. Follows up with clients, when necessary, regarding ongoing service.
  • Creates and executes title project plans and revises as appropriate
  • Identifies and tracks testers needed and assigns individual responsibilities per milestone
  • Coordinates day-to-day operational aspects of a title project and tests scope against gating/release criteria
  • Reviews release deliverables such as test results, accountability report, title defect report, and FQA title final report
  • Effectively applies QA methodology and enforces project standards
  • Release deliverables prepared by supervisors before passing to publishers to ensure accuracy and promptness

  • General understanding in the areas of game testing, audit, and release management
  • Ability to plan, execute, and coordinate a project, as well as recommend realistic estimates and reporting metrics
  • Strong skills in MS Office, MS Project or an equivalent project management tool, and workflow or data flow diagramming tools
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan, organize, delegate, redirect, and control work
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Ability to effectively work with a diverse team, gain consensus, and influence progress toward resolution/completion

Required Experience / Education:

  • At least 2 years experience in a project management role or equivalent
  • Four year college degree or equivalent work experience

Preferred Experience / Education:

  • At least 2 years of software quality assurance experience
