North Bay educational software company is looking for an experienced developer to join our team. The company is very well-established (not a start-up). We have been in business for more than 20 years and we are proud to serve a large customer base in North America and around the world.
The ideal candidate is a jack-of-all trades and master of many (namely C#, database design, and web apps). You'll be designing and building new features for our flagship program, which is a desktop application, extending certain features to the web, and helping maintain its codebase. You'll also be creating new desktop and server-based tools for our content creators to assist with their work. On occasion, you might be asked to provide second-tier technical customer support for requests that require deeper technical skills than our first-tier support engineers can handle.
The job requires you to work full-time in our Vallejo office. Sorry, we aren't accepting telecommuters.
Requirements
- Experience with C# and .NET Framework 2.0+
- Experience with database design and SQL
- Experience building web applications and/or services (preferably with open source stacks)
- Some experience with XML/XSD/XSLT
- Some experience with C and C++
Useful Experience:
- Experience in the K-12 Education industry
- Experience building RESTful apps with Ruby on Rails
- Experience with at least one major scripting language
- Experience administering a network
- Experience with Subversion
