Job Title: Sr. SW Engineer
Location: Mountain View, CA
OpenTV is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a high-level of expertise in the maintenance of an enterprise application for its Advanced Advertising group. The engineer will lead a team of engineers who develop and support functionality and enhancements using C++, MFC, C# and Oracle among other technologies.
Job Responsibilities:
Research and troubleshoot problems in the software.
Follow established processes for documentation, development cycles and build management.
Work with the Customer Services team to provide technical assistance for software related questions.
Lead a team of 2-3 engineers to resolve software issues.
Design and develop innovative and high quality software solutions using best-practices with minimal supervision for identified problems in the software.
Work with product managers to understand and analyze requirements.
Write detailed design specifications.
Participate in requirement reviews and design reviews.
Work with Project Manager to estimate and produce timely deliverables.
Skills & Qualifications:
9-12 years experience developing/maintaining commercial enterprise-level applications.
Minimum B.S. degree or equivalent in Computer Science.
Strong experience in C++ (Visual C++ preferred) development.
Good experience in C#/.NET development.
Good experience in relational database development, preferably in Oracle and PL/SQL.
Experience leading a small team of engineers.
Ability to quickly isolate and troubleshoot issues.
Ability to communicate well with technical and non-technical people throughout the organization.
Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
Good understanding of Project Management principles.
