We are looking for senior Ruby on Rails Engineer to help build and deploy the a service that is already in beta. As the company's primary Engineering resource you will be responsible for development and deployment of the service. You will be expected to learn the system from end to end and be willing and eager to learn new technology to support the business. You will be working in short iterations with frequent releases, so responsibilities can and will change frequently.
Required Skills:
The ideal candidate will have:
* 5+ years web development experience
* 2+ years working with Ruby on Rails
* Agile development experience, including iterative development and automated testing
* Strong web skills (construction, not design) - HTML/CSS/JavaScript
* Relational database skills - MySQL, Rails-style structure, performance issues
* Knowledge of Mongrel/Passenger server configuration
* Experience with Git or another DVCS
* Load-balanced, multi-machine, multi-environment deployment experience
* Understanding of, and experience with, Amazon Web Services, including EC2 and S3
* Experience with Mac OS X (for development) and Linux (for deployment)

Compensation: $65K range, higher based on experience, and significant equity position
